A functioning stove is vital to a functioning household. Stoves are daily drivers and help us to prepare food for ourselves, our family and our friends. If your stove isn’t working, it can lead to groceries going bad and more money having to be spent on eating food out. Not only these issues, but a broken stove can also be a danger to your household as, if it is leaking gas, there can be a great risk of fire. If your stove is broken, let us help!
Stove Not Heating
If your stove is not heating, there is no way that you can prepare meat, as it will not reach an acceptable temperature to kill harmful bacteria. This is dangerous because our bodies are not meant to eat raw meat and it can cause irreparable harm. If you discover that there is a problem with your stove not heating at all, it could be a connection to our electric or gas systems or it could be something internally. Because ovens are dangerous appliances, we recommend giving us a call and letting us come out and repair it for you.
If you are noticing that there is a pervasive gas smell either when you are cooking or when you are not cooking, there could be a major problem with your stove. The problem is most likely a faulty connection between gas line and your appliance, but there could be a leak somewhere in the system as well. Because gas is incredibly dangerous, if you are smelling it, you should call us immediately. Gas exposure can lead to asphyxiation and it can also lead to a greater risk of fire in your home. Gas leaks need to be addressed ASAP.
Stove Over Heating
While your stove not heating at all can definitely be a problem, another problem that can occur, is that of your stove getting too hot. This can cause food to burn and light on fire, not only ruining your groceries, but also leading to the possibility of a fire breaking out inside your stove, which could lead to fires elsewhere in your home. If you are noticing that your stove is running exceedingly hot, there is mostly likely a problem with your temperature regulator inside your stove. Let us come and replace this for you, so that we can get you up and working.
Burners Not Lighting/Heating
If your stove has a burn top on it, there is a chance that this could stop working also. Depending on whether your stove is electric or gas, there could be a few different things going on here. If your stove and cook top are gas fed, it could be that gas isn’t making its way to your burners. This could be a clogged line or poor connection. If your stove is electric, there may be failure in your electrical system. In either situation, give us a call and let us come assess and repair whatever is going on.
